Over the last decade Uttarakhand has emerged as one of the fastest growing manufacturing hubs in the Northern Region. From a virtually zero industry base at inception, the State has attracted industrial investments of more than Rs 35,000 crores. Some of the leading sectors in manufacturing today are Auto & Auto Components, Pharmaceuticals, Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Food Processing and FMCG.
The State has about 51000 registered manufacturing units. Haridwar is the largest industrial area accounting for 60% of the investments. Udham Singh Nagar is the second largest recipient accounting for 35% of the investment & is about 4 hours drive from Haridwar.
Such a large agglomeration of industry creates many business opportunities which Industrial Expo helps tap into. Over the last three editions the event has emerged as a pan India show.
